Important Information
All students who enroll at Capital Law must provide a final, official transcript from your undergraduate degree-granting college or university prior to the start of class.
Transcripts must be sent directly from your undergraduate institution to the LSAC.
If you had already graduated and sent a final official transcript to LSAC when you applied, you do not need to resend it.
If you were still enrolled in classes when you applied and sent your transcript to LSAC, you will need to send a final official copy once you graduate.
If you need any clarity about whether or not we need your final, official transcript from your undergraduate degree-granting college or university please reach out to admissions@law.capital.edu
The orientation program is designed to help you transition into learning the law and becoming a member of our Law School community. The program will offer workshops on developing the skills to succeed in and out of the classroom, prepare you for your first weeks of class, and navigate student services and activities.
A detailed schedule of orientation activities as well as schedule instructions will be shared here, via email, and on Canvas closer to the events.
THE FOLLOWING EVENTS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL INCOMING STUDENTS.
WRITING DIAGNOSTIC
All students will virtually complete a writing diagnostic exercise prior to the first day of classes.

Our primary means of communication with admitted students is via email. Add Capital University Law School to your "safe" list to ensure our emails are not picked up by spam. If your email address changes at any time throughout the admission process, please notify the Office of Admission immediately.
Your Capital University Law School email account will be created shortly after the second seat deposit deadline. When your account has been created, an email from our IT Department will be sent to your personal email address with detailed instructions on how to set-up your Capital Law account.
Please note: If you are admitted after the second seat deposit deadline, your email account will be created within 1 -2 weeks after the payment of your second seat deposit.
Beginning with the Fall 2024, all entering scholarships are guaranteed. So long as a student maintains good financial standing and is not otherwise dismissed, that student will keep their scholarship for three years of full-time study, or four years of part-time study.
We are proud to provide secure scholarships that our students can rely upon throughout law school. We find that these scholarships provide a greater sense of financial security and help foster and promote an increased sense of community.
If you had educational accommodations as an undergraduate or think you may need them in law school, please contact the Office of Accessibility Services at your earliest opportunity.
